Through S.T.E.P.S., families receive assistance applying for Florida KidCare, the state's health insurance for children from birth through age 18. The application process and requirements change regularly, leaving parents and guardians confused about what they need for their children to qualify.
What we do
The S.T.E.P.S. Florida KidCare specialist assists clients in filling out the application. Our specialist is available to answer questions and resolve problems with attaining and keeping KidCare coverage.
An Overview of KidCare Requirements
When you apply for the insurance, our Florida KidCare specialist will check which program your child may qualify for based on age and family income. The specialist will also assist families in completing the application.
Florida KidCare Programs
MediKids: Children ages 1 - 4
HealthyKids: Children ages 5 - 18
Children Medical Services Network: Children from birth to 18 who have special health care needs
Medicaid: Children from birth to 18 (This insurance is a vailable at no cost.)
